SHIP
The SHIP is the main part of the facility. It consists of the target wheel in the target area, the Wien filter which is the actual separator and the detector assembly. Super heavy element research, spectroscopy and nuclear reaction studies are mostly done with this instrument.

SHIPTrap
High-precision mass measurements take place while cooled ions are circling within the magnetic field of the superconducting magnet. Using the ion trap requires the removal of parts of SHIPs detector assembly and a connection via a vaccum tube.

Beam Energy Controlling System
The beam energy measurement system is mounted at the entrance of the experiment with respect to the beamdirection for monitoring the beam energy. A variable magnetic field allows scanning for electrons of which the momentum gives information about the beam energy.

Target Online Diagnosis System
An assembly of electron emitting and measuring devices enables detection of target foil thickness fluctuations and damages.
