Important:
Before guest scientists come to GSI, they need to contact prior their arrival the GSI Welcome office.

Since 2020 new forms are available for scientific guest and users, enabling the preparation of necessary steps before arrival. The respective forms can be found on the website of the Welcome Office .
The Welcome Office is the main point of contact for guest scientist and users of our facilities planning a stay at GSI/FAIR. Visitors and guests for workshop or lectures do not need to register.
The Welcome Office is taking care of Guest Contracts, Home Institution Declarations and Invitations (for visa application) and give advice on health and liability insurances. The Welcome Office also handles reimbursement requests within the French-German-Collaboration Agreement IN2P3-CEA/DRF-GSI and several EU Transnational Access treaties (ENSAR, STRONG, Laserlab Europe).
