For Industry and Applied Research

Connecting Research and Application Through Collaboration.

For Industry and Applied Research

GSI and FAIR open up their unique technologies, scientific developments, and selected infrastructure and facilities available to external partners as part of cooperative projects. The aim is to make innovations and technical knowledge generated in the course of core scientific activities available for meaningful and valuable use beyond the research sector, creating added value for society.

Various forms of cooperation are available to partners from industry and applied research, ranging from contract research and joint feasibility studies to cooperative technology development. In this way, we support you in achieving ambitious research and development goals while strengthening the transfer of FAIR/GSI innovations.

GSI/FAIR Digital Open Lab

The Digital Open Lab provides the environment for developing, testing, and upscaling energy-efficient, high-performance computing up to the scale of industrial demonstrators. In this real-world laboratory, industrial application scenarios can be simulated realistically in terms of size, connections, and options for different operating modes.
