About Us
At GSI and FAIR, technologies are developed to address the highest demands and extraordinary scientific questions. The development and operation of our accelerator facilities require solutions that often did not exist before – solutions that are more precise, more powerful, and more reliable than existing approaches. This is how innovations are created: from the desire to think beyond what is technically possible.
A technology only unfolds its full value when it finds its way into application. That is why we work together with partners from industry, applied research, and other players in the field of innovation and transfer, giving them access to our expertise and infrastructure. Whether it's contract research, the manufacture of specialized components, membranes, and electronics, or the use of our beam time for industrial applications, together we develop solutions that have an impact beyond research.
In addition, we offer a diverse IP portfolio that can be licensed externally and further developed. This is how scientific curiosity becomes a benefit to society – and an idea becomes an innovation.
