Martina Bauer holds a Ph.D. in biology and has more than ten years of experience in innovation management and technology transfer. At GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research GmbH, she serves as Deputy Head of Technology Transfer. Her areas of focus include the commercialization of intellectual property, innovation management and marketing, collaboration with industry partners, and technology validation. She has a particular interest in innovation marketing, which she views as the key to highlighting potential applications arising from basic research and to fostering synergies among various partners from academia, applied research, and industry. She sees technology transfer as a holistic endeavor that connects science, business, and society.
