Dr. Yvonne Thielmann holds a Ph.D. in structural biology and has an interdisciplinary background in engineering and biology. She has more than 20 years of experience at renowned research institutions in Germany and abroad and has worked on numerous industry-related projects. She is a co-holder of a patent in the field of high-pressure cooling. Through Wissenswind, she is self-employed and has founded her own initiative that brings hands-on science education to children and adults. Since 2025, she has also served as Technology Liaison Officer at GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research GmbH. There, she leads the Innovation Ecosystems division and actively promotes collaboration between research and industry.
