The special installation of the Super-FRS are mainly the Production Target and Beam Catchers for high intensity beams.
Because of activation it also involves the Iron Shielding of the area and equipment for remote handling such as metalic Pillow Seal vacuum flanges, a transport container and a Hot Cell.
The Degraders and parts of the gas stopping cell also belong to the special installations.
