The Group Civil Construction Project Management (FAM>BAU>BPM) is responsible for planning and implementing construction and building services projects, new buildings, and renovation projects using the ZBau procedure. The projects are developed from the Campus Master Plan, the renovation register, requirements from the Darmstadt building and construction supervision authority, the regional council, the fire department, and others, e.g., from research and accelerator operations.

BPM regularly reports on the status of planning and execution as well as cost developments in various GSI committees such as the construction conference, the Management Board, the BTR, the WTR, and, upon request, during the annual research and accelerator retreats.
