Civil Construction Building Maintenance (BBU)
The Group Civil Construction Building Maintenance (FAM>BAU>BBU) is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the building structure and safety equipment (ladders, fall protection, etc.) on campus.
It handles construction activities requested by the research departments and other specialist areas at GSI ("Building at GSI" as well as construction and maintenance service orders). BBU creates and maintains a register for building pollutants and hazardous materials as well as the new GSI fire bulkhead register.
In the area of experiment construction, the building maintenance team coordinates accelerator and experiment construction measures in the context of user-specific facilities and supports construction projects and adjustments during the shutdown phase.
BBU also handles new construction and renovation measures outside the ZBau procedure <1.0 million EUR.
