Group Building Services Water (VTW)
The VTW Group within the GVT maintains the following systems at GSI, as well as at the maintenance depot and guest houses:
- Supply and distribution of drinking water and hot water
- Supply and distribution of firefighting water for hydrant systems, dry and wet-dry fire suppression systems
- Treatment through softening, full desalination, and the subsequent distribution of process water for cooling systems and recooling systems
- Treatment, discharge, and disposal of wastewater systems – sewage, rainwater, and laboratory wastewater
- Sanitary facilities for building services
- Supply and distribution of natural gas
We are responsible for the proper and safe operation of the aforementioned systems, as well as for preventive maintenance and repairs in compliance with extensive legal regulations, official requirements, technical codes, and guidelines. We determine and implement necessary measures to ensure safe operation.
