Department Campus Development (CAM)

The Department Campus Development (CAM) is responsible for designing and managing the structural and organizational development of the campus. It initiates and develops projects based on the needs and goals of users at GSI and FAIR (service phase 0). CAM designs, plans, and structures the overall use of space on campus and ensures that the space requirements and needs of users and applications are balanced.

CAM operates, maintains, and develops specific IT systems (CAFM, CAD, etc.) for the construction and operation of properties, buildings, and facilities. Planning, property, and plant data is structured, evaluated, integrated, and provided digitally for the campus. Processes for maintaining and using the data are developed and designed and made available to users and service providers.

Within FAM, CAM is responsible for integrated processes, structures, and construction standards. CAM operates the CAFM system pitFM (GSI) and the mechanical locking systems.
