The Share Pool GSI and FAIR stock database is dedicated to free lending and handing over of:

• tools,
• materials,
• measuring instruments,
• electronic devices,
• furniture to other departments,
• etc.

Its interface is accessible via your GSI Weblogin account at https://red.gsi.de/sp/
In order to get « Editor access » allowing posting objects or services, contact Arnaud Le Fèvre.

Important to know

• The list of categories can be extended on request.
• This concerns items that you rarely or no longer need.
• This interface also allows you to offer, search and list technical services such as laser cutting, surface treatment or electron microscopy.

Philosophy of this service

The philosophy of this service is:

1. to avoid as much as possible the purchase of items or services that can be provided at GSI,
2. to provide time-limited services for short-term projects,
3. this is part of a sustainable business approach.

Key to success

The key to success is that as many departments as possible get involved to enter equipment/materials that are available in their department so that the likelihood of finding what other departments are looking for is maximised. It would therefore be good if there were an editor for each department to take care of the inventory of what is eligible for listing on this page.
