Accelerator Vacuum Group (VAC-ACV)

The VAC-ACV group (Vacuum Systems - Accelerator Vacuum) consists of physicists and engineers who implement various vacuum systems at the FAIR facility. Their tasks include the design and planning of vacuum systems for different accelerator areas, as well as supporting other departments and experiments.

Accelerator vacuum systems currently being planned and built:

HEBT - Vacuum systems of the High Energy Beam Transport (HEBT)

SFRS - Vacuum systems of the Super-Fragmentseparator (SFRS)

SIS100 - Vacuum systems of the heavy ion synchrotron SIS100 (SIS100)
