The department FFN (FAIR-Forschung-NRW) contains the activities that were previously located at the Forschungszentrum Jülich. This includes research topics connected to hadron physics, nuclear/atomic physics and neutrino physics. The activities are located at GSI, the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB), Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (JGU) and the Universität zu Köln (UzK).
