From Excavation to Giant: FAIR Construction Site in Time-Lapse

When thousands of tons of concrete and steel turn into high technology: the new long-term drone-lapse shows seven years of FAIR construction progress—condensed into 1.5 minutes. From the excavators in 2018 to the completed buildings and installation of technical equipment in 2025: floors rise rapidly, and raw structures transform into high-tech laboratories.
This is made possible by an award-winning filmmaking technique: dozens of moving time-lapse videos were overlaid with pixel-perfect precision and merged into a single continuous video—creating the impression of one seamless flight through seven years of construction progress. The result: a fascinating view of the construction of the gigantic FAIR accelerator facility. (LW)
