German-US Theory Exchange in Hadron Physics

GUSTEHP offers a possibility to finances visits of professors or senior postdocs who work on aspects of theoretical hadron physics which are closely related to the experimental programm of GSI/FAIR in Germany or Jefferson Lab in USA.

Applicants should ideally work at German Universities though exceptions are possible (e.g. for HGF institutions). The  program is mirrored by GAUSTEQ, a program offering support to US-based hadron theorists visiting Germany.

Application should be submitted as .pdf or .doc or .docx file and can be send at any time to
Prof. Dr. Klaus Peters (GSI Darmstadt and Goethe-University Frankfurt)

K.Peters (at) gsi.de

The application should conform to the following guidelines.

The complete outline of the  program can be found here.

The reimbursement has to comply with the following rules of the international bureau of the DLR and its addendum. We apologize if this does not cover all expenses.

The Coordinating Committee consisting of the German members K. Peters (GSI), H. Wittig (U Mainz), A. Schäfer (U Regensburg), and J.Wambach (TU Darmstadt) and the U.S. members W. Melnitchouk (Jefferson Lab), M.R. Pennington (Jefferson Lab) and A. Szczepaniak (Indiana U) will decide on all applications in a timely manner.
