Group Superconducting Magnet Technology (SMT)

The group "Superconducting Magnet Technology (SMT)" works on superconducting accelerator magnets and related devices as well as on measuring instruments.

SMT is responsible for the design of magnets and cryostats, the preparation of specifications and preparation of parameters for the acceptance criteria.

Together with MES and MTT, the other two groups of SCM, SMT is working on magnet tests, acceptance processes and documentation as well as on the development of measuring devices, ready to develop a novel concept for superconducting magnets and measuring systems.
