LibreOffice contains some office programs. It is a free alternative to Microsoft Office.

You can use these programs in Windows and Linux.

Following programs are available:

• Textverarbeitung - Writer (odt/ott)
• Tabellenkalkulation - Calc (ods/ots)
• Präsentation - Impress (odp/otp)
• Zeichnen - Draw (odg/otg)
• Formeldokument - Math (odf)
• Datenbank - Base (odb) 

Windows:

LibreOffice is no part of a standard Windows installation at the moment.

But you are able to install the software via software Center without admin rights.

Linux:

LibreOffice is installed on any desktop pc.

A template is the base for all documents. Different folders can be defined.

Extras - Optionen - Pfade - Dokumentvorlagen 

At GSI following directories are provided as standard.

Windows:

• User: %appdata%\LibreOffice\4\user\template
• Program: C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\share\template
• GSI: \\campus.gsi.de\Templates\LibreOffice\LibreGSI

Linux:

• User: /u/user/.config/libreoffice/3/user/template
• Program: /usr/lib/libreoffice/
