The High Performance Computing (HPC) group provides Computing facilities with many thousand CPU cores to GSI's research community.
These facilities rely on Lustre-based storage resources with tens of petabytes capacity that also offers long-term archiving capabilities for experiment data.
The HPC group also operates various services based on Linux ranging from basic Linux installations for the utilization by other groups to Linux desktops, terminal servers and web servers running various collaboration services for GSI (Seafile, Gitlab, Wikis etc.).
