"It’s not enough to invent something, you even have to notice, that you invented something."
Karl Steinbuch (*1917), german physicist
At GSI scientists and engineers are always looking for new knowledge and new technological ways. As a result of these processes there are many technologies, methods and products created. This development is the basis of potential future innovations for industry.
So imagine the following scenario:
Two big tracts of land are divided by a wide and rushing river. On one side there is the economical part, the industry, which is always interested in creating useful but profitable products for their clients. On the opposite bank there are scientists, who are conducting basic research, and developing innovative technologies, processes and products. To be able to cross the river, a solid and easily accessible bridge was build.
“We are this bridge“ - Welcome to Technology Transfer.
