Materials research and ion membrane technology

When materials are irradiated with heavy, high-energy ions, cylindrical zones are formed in certain materials along the ion path in which some of the material's properties are modified. These zones, so-called latent ion tracks, can be selectively developed and processed using chemical etching methods. Membranes prepared in this way can be used in further technological processes.

Examples of applications for this nanotechnology are presented here. If your problems are not solved, please contact us, we will try to help you further.
