Foundation of “FAIR Center for International Collaboration” in China



GSI, FAIR and the Central China Normal University (CCNU) signed an agreement on the foundation of the FAIR Center for International Collaboration (FCIC) at CCNU on Dec. 11, 2014. The mission of FCIC is to organize the Chinese in-kind contributions to the FAIR experimental program, in particular to the Time-of-flight detector of the CBM experiment, with a total amount of 8 Million Euros over the next 8 years.

Chinese partner institutions of FCIC are Tsinghua University, Beijing, University of Science & Technology of China, Hefei, Shanghai Institute for Applied Physics, Shanghai, and the Institute of Modern Physics, Lanzhou.
