50 Million Yen for GSI-scientists – Successful Cooperation with Japan
Researchers from the GSI biophysics department receive 50 million Yen for experiments at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences in Chiba, Japan. The sum was granted by the Japanese government for three years and equates approx. 475.000 Euro. A prolongation for another three years is possible. The facility in Japan could serve as an alternative to the GSI-accelerators, experiments on radiobiology and tumor therapy are planned there.
