Marco Durante elected president of the International Association for Radiation Research
06.10.2011 | Marco Durante, head of the GSI Biophysics Department, was elected president of the International Association for Radiation Research (IARR) on August 30, 2011, by the delegates of the International Radiation Research Societies during the 14th International Congress for Radiation Research in Warsaw, Poland. IARR is the International Association of the Radiation Research Societies from all over the World. Its principal aim, as laid down in the 1974 constitution, is to advance radiation research in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology and medicine. Professor Dr. Durante will serve as president for 4 years. |
