Masterclass 2011 - Pupils analyse data of ALICE-experiment
While participating in the International Masterclasses GSI was visited by 30 pupils on March 8, 2011. They were met by a real challenge and analysed original experimental data taken at the ALICE-experiment of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Geneva.
The day started with introductory talks about the phyics at the LHC. After a guided tour to the HADES-detector the data analysis started. Finally the findings were discussed with other Masterclass-participants in a video conference hosted by CERN.
