A time to visit GSI
On Friday June 11, 2010 the Hessian Consular Corps visited the GSI Helmholtz Center for Heavy Research during its traditional information tour through Hesse. General and honorary consuls from more than 20 nations came to see the places at which atomic nuclei collide at incredibly high speeds, and where scientists from all around the world try to understand "whatever holds the world together in its inmost folds". Even the central instrument of research at GSI, the accelerator facility, could be seen very closely. The invitation of the Prime Minister of Hesse offers the second-largest consular corps in Germany the possibility to see the beauty of the state of Hesse, the main economy of Hessian and Hessian research centers.
