Your active participation in the qualification of the components will contribute significantly to the successful start of the FAIR facility.

Your tasks:

  • Execution of standardized Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) on SIS100 and Super FRS superconducting components according to predefined test procedures.
  • Analysis of the measurement results and verification of the physical plausibility and compliance with the specified parameters.
  • Documentation of the measurement results and responsible released of test sections as well as coordination with the test stand manager.
  • Preparation and execution of advanced tests in case of nonconformities on superconducting components.
  • Error diagnosis and development of proposals for solution in the field of measurement technology.
  • Maintenance of the measuring equipment as well as an active participation in the optimization and further development of the measurement equipment.
  • Assembling of test setups in close cooperation with the specialist groups involved.
  • Carrying out acceptance tests on assemblies for the magnetic protection electronics.
  • Intensive participation in the installation and commissioning of the superconducting components in the FAIR accelerator facilities.
  • Preparation of procurement for new hardware according to the needs of test stand.
