Data Manager / Database Expert (all genders) in the FAIR project

For our department „Project Management Office“, we are looking for a

 

Data Manager / Database Expert (all genders) in the FAIR project

Your tasks:

 

  • Development and maintenance of IT tools for project and cost reporting using VBA, SQL
  • Development, administration and maintenance of the central database and its links to other data sources (EXCEL, SAP, schedules, financial planning and other databases)
  • Support of PMO and project responsibles in general and specific data related questions and tasks (usage and availability)
  • Support the implementation of a new Project Management Software
  • Regular provision of status reports

 

 

Your Qualification:

 

  • A degree in natural sciences or engineering (BSc. or comparable education) or similar qualification
  • Very good programming skills (VBA and SQL); Very good knowledge of MS EXCEL
  • Affinity to complex projects, IT and technical topics
  • A structured way of working with a good understanding of the users requirements
  • Experience in large-scale engineering site projects and/or reporting is advantageous
  • Knowledge of standard project management tools and methods
  • High level of initiative, independent and responsible action, high commitment to quality and user-oriented work results
  • Good communication skills in German and English (spoken and written)

The position is limited until 31.12.2026. Salary is equivalent to that for public employees as specified in the collective agreement for public employees (TVöD Bund).
