  "Sonder-Kolloquium zum Energie-Konzept des ESS Projektes"
  

  The European Spallation Source (ESS), a joint European project to be realized in Lund, Sweden, takes up an innovative energy concept which by an initial investment in regenerative energy sources allows to supply the ESS facility during its operation phase with 'carbon-neutral' power. The idea of an as much as possible climate-neutral research infrastructure and the financial concept to realize this may become a role model for new large accelerator facility projects in the future. Dr. Richard Bengtsson, will focus on the sustainable energy concept while Prof. Dr. Colin Carlile, will give an overview on the ESS project and its science case.
