  The creation of the PostScript file deserves special care, since we require Type1Fonts rather than the old BitmapFonts.
  Using pixel fonts (Type3Fonts) leads to unreadable PS files on displays at normal resolution (Acrobat Reader)!

  For e.g. teTeX installations this can be achieved e.g. with the command:

  dvips -Pcmz -Pamz filename

  (at the GSI cluster these options are default)

• Microsoft Word:

  Please create your Word document using the Microsoft Word template JACoW-GSI-2006.dot, see the Microsoft Word example file JACoW-GSI-2006.doc.
  (You can download these files using the right mouse button and: "Save Link Target As..." or "Save Target As...").

  Please avoid to use positioning frames, e.g. for including graphics; they may cause problems when converting into PostScript files.

  Print your document into a PostScript file using the Adobe "Generic PostScript Printer" driver.
  This is a known driver in the GSI campus domain.
  Be sure to have set A4 and not Letter or other paper sizes.

  If you don't have the Adobe Universal PostScript Windows Driver installed on your PC please use the CERN document server
  http://cdsconvwin.cern.ch to convert your Word file to PostScript.

The submission of the list for the Annex, Publications, Conference Contributions, Diploma- and PhD-Thesis, remains the same as last year.
