Cover Picture:

Artistic view of the International Accelerator Facility for Beams of Ions and Antiprotons planned at GSI. The proposed accelerator complex builds on existing expertise and facilities at GSI, and incorporates new technological developments. At its heart is the fast-cycling superconducting 100/200 Tm double-ring synchrotron with 1,100 m circumference (shown in the upper part) followed by a system of storage cooler rings and several experimental stations.
