Borrowing, library rules and shelving

Access at your office:
Via IP the following resources are accessible on the Internet:

• for the GSI activate and free e-journals
• data bases etc.
• publications of the GSI you can find in the GSI document archive

Borrowing:
All GSI staff and GSI guests could borrow monographs, proceedings and GSI publications for about 6 weeks and for their work at the GSI. To borrow fill in the proxy paperboards in the shelves and the card in the book.Then enter the bookcards into the book at the entrance or give it to staff directly.
To return enter the media into the return box at the entrance or hand them to the staff.
Not for borrowing are journals. Journals in the magazine can be ordered into the library.

Using terms:
When using the library you have to keep the conditions of the licence and copy rights. In particular is it not allowed to give online articles of subscripted journals to external persons. A written library order can be seen at the library.

Shelving:
The recent GSI publication can be found on one shelf to view and on one shelf to take away.

New textbooks are in our teaching collection in the white racks and can be found in our monograph catalogue. At that racks the older presence documents of the GSI publications can be found. 

The journals are in an alphabetical order and the proceedings volumes are standing after conference years and conference places. The publications of the GSI are sorted by number and standing also in the magazine of the library.  Monographs and reference works are arranged after shelfmarks and authors. The following shelfmarks you can find in the library monograph catalogue of the GSI (starts in 1997):
