Using Outlook outside GSI or from the GF-Admin network
(Configuration moving with Outlook 2003 to the Exchange Server 2010)
If you are working outside GSI or within the GF-Admin network, you have 2 options how to access your e-mails:
Configuring Outlook 2003
This guide only works with Outlook 2003 or later clients. Before you start make sure that the GSI Security Certificate is installed correctly in your MS Internet Explorer.
Open Start → Settings → Control Panel → Mail: Choose your profile and click the button E-mail Accounts:

When the E-mail Accounts wizard opens, mark Add a new e-mail account, click Next:

Mark Microsoft Exchange Server, click Next:

Type "w2k3mailsv.gsi.de" in Microsoft Exchange Server and check "Use Cache Exchange Mode" for a faster performance. Enter your windows User name.

Now click the button More Settings to enter your connection information.

Choose the tab Security and activate the Option Encrypt data between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange. Click Apply Then choose the tab Connection, mark "Connection using my Local Area Network (LAN)" and check "Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP".

To modify the Proxy settings, hit the button Exchange Proxy Settings.
Complete the Exchange proxy server's URL "https://webmail2010.gsi.de" and mark the options for fast and slow networks:

Close all windows by clicking OK.
At your first login, enter your Windows user name and password.

Configuration moving with Outlook 2003 to the Exchange 2010 Server within the GF-Admin-Network and other extern networks:
If your Outlook version is the same (Outlook 2003) and only the Exchange Server has changed to 2010 - before you start Outlook - you have to configure some things:
Click to the Windows start-Button, Settings, Control Panel, Icon Mail. Choose the Button E-mail Accounts und activate in the following window View or change existing E-mail accounts. Then choose your mailbox and click Change.
Change the servername to: HUBCAS2010.gsi.de and then the Button More settings.


Choose the tab Security and activate the Option Encrypt data between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange. Click Apply Then choose the tab Connection and click to the button Exchange Proxy Settings.


Change the URL to webmail2010.gsi.de Close all windows by clicking OK. Then you can start Outlook in usual way.
