User Spam Filter Configuration on the GSI Mail Server

In recent times all GSI users receive more and more spam e-mails. But you are able to do something against this flood of e-mails!

For every e-mail address you should do the following steps once. So you can reduce the spam mails significantly.

1. Call the web page http://www-aix.gsi.de/spamfilter
   
2. Type your e-mail address into the ... field
   
    
   and
   press the button CREATE PASSWORD
   
3. A new windows will be open - keep this windows open!
   
4. Please wait for an e-mail with the subject „GSI Spam Specific One-Time Password“
    
5. Paste the one-time-password from this e-mail into the corresponding field of the browser's window from step 3.
   
   
   and
   press the button CHECK PASSWORD
   
6. In the new window change the 'Reject Level' to the value 7.
   and
   press the button SAVE DATA 
   
7. Close all browser windows

If you are owner of more than one e-mail addresses, we provide a special service: Send an e-mail to mail-servicegsi.de with a listing of the e-mail addresses to be changed, together with the corresponding reject levels (recommendation: 7) , and we will do that for you.

From next day on the number of spam e-mails will be reduced significantly.
