How to get to GSI by train & bus
From main train station Darmstadt
Take S-Bahn (regional train) S3/S4 with direction Bad Soden/Kronberg
Get off at Wixhausen (2 stops)
Use GSI-transport bus from bus stop Bahnhof (westward direction; please note that the busses
transport 25 persons at maximum, during peak time or when travelling with a large group the
bus might not be available.)
For large groups: Walk in eastward direction on Messeler-Park-Strasse straight on to GSI (25-35 min)
From the center of Darmstadt
Take tramway 6/7/8 with direction Dreieichweg
Get off at terminal Dreieichweg
Change to GSI-transport bus, the current bus on this line can transport up to 80 people.
From principal train station Frankfurt am Main
Take S-Bahn (regional train) S3/S4 with direction Darmstadt
Get off at Wixhausen (15 stops)
Use GSI-transport bus from bus stop Bahnhof (westward direction; please note that the busses
transport 25 persons at maximum, during peak time or when travelling with a large group the
bus might not be available.)
For large groups: Walk in eastward direction on Messeler-Park-Strasse straight on to GSI (25-35 min)
From Frankfurt Airport
Take S-Bahn (regional train) S8/S9 with direction Hanau Hbf
Get off at Frankfurt Hbf (3 stops)
Change to S-Bahn (regional train) S3/S4 with direction Darmstadt
Get off at Wixhausen (15 stops)
Use GSI-transport bus from bus stop Bahnhof (westward direction; please note that the busses
transport 25 persons at maximum, during peak time or when travelling with a large group the
bus might not be available.)
For large groups: Walk in eastward direction on Messeler-Park-Strasse straight on to GSI (25-35 min)
