Networking Activities
The networks correspond to the subjects identified by the community for the fostering of future collaborations, pooling of resources and dissemination of results. They can be grouped into several classes of objectives.
· GAMMAPOOL pools the existing and not site-specific gamma-ray instrumentation in order to use it Europe-wide in a coordinated manner
· A new degree of interaction for increased efficiency is tasked for very heavy element physics (SHE) and nuclear astrophysics (CARINA). TNET strengthens the synergy between theory groups and experimentalists for selected issues.
· East-West-Outreach addresses the South-Eastern and North-Eastern European Nuclear Physics research potential with an emphasis on the new EU members and the candidate countries.
· The mapping needs of the community at large, like the long-term directions, performed under the auspices of NuPECC are subject of a dedicated network NuPECC Mapping Studies. Society issues like the public awareness of nuclear science are the task of the PANSI3 network.
