X-ray Facility

The essential goal of many radiobiological experiments is to determine the relative biological effectiveness in comparison to conventional radiation like X-rays. A Seifert X-ray machine operated at 250 kV is available at GSI for these reference measurements. The maximum dose rate - depending on the area to be irradiated - is approx. 6 Gy/min.
