SOCIAL DINNER
The social dinner will be held on Friday night at the restaurant of the Frankenstein castle. A bus will drive the registered participants to/from the city center to the castle. Participants will have the opportunity to visit this interesting 13th century castle before the dinner. The castle belongs to the Frankenstein family, and Mary Shelley was probably inspired to write her famous novel "Frankenstein" by a visit to this in 1816. On Saturday morning, we will offer a tour of the GSI microbeam facility and of the accelerator.
Transportation to Bremen
For those attending the 38th COSPAR meeting (July 18-25) we can offer assistance in transportation from Darmstadt to Bremen. If you wish to reach Bremen by train or plane, please consult the timetable on the German railway webpage or Frankfurt airport.
