Letter from Bill Gelletly and Thomas Nilsson Sent: Friday, 11. November 2005 18:04 To: Simon Haik; Saillant; Patricia.Chomaz; Olivier; Lewitowicz; lolly; johan.nyberg; i.h.lazarus; Thomas.Nilsson; W.Gelletly Dear Colleagues, With the blessing of the management of both GSI and GANIL we would like to initiate a joint working group on dataacq./electronics for NuSTAR and SPIRAL2. There is already a lot of interaction and overlap between the two communities and it is only sensible that we do not neglect the possibility of profiting from each other’s work. Furthermore, implementations of common detector systems like e.g. AGATA should be considered from this early stage. Accordingly we should like to inform you that an invitation to all of you will follow shortly from Haik Simon, GSI (h.simon@gsi.de), to an initial meeting to set up the working group. Please feel free to communicate to Haik your interest in participating and on the proposed scope and remit of the group.
