Elektrostatic Septum: Exterior view of the new electrostatic Septum.

The electrostatic Septum for SIS18 on the mounting. It’s redesigned with an enlarged aperture. The deflection voltage has been increased from 160 kV up to 240 kV. Additional the Septum has been equipped with a horizontal measuring device for the beam profile and water cooled braces.
